Twelve grams of gastronomy

"We are taste" is an ode to the gastronomic flavours, textures, and pairings that inspire our Maîtres Chocolatiers every day. It expresses a pure sensation of passion and delight in a chocolate treat of twelve delicate grams, made from the finest ingredients from all over the world — from Madagascar vanilla and Piedmont hazelnuts to nougatine, caramel, sel de Guérande, and naturally sourced honey.

We are Taste Neuhaus

Caprice

This iconic praline, with its crunchy nougatine and vanilla buttercream filling, was first invented for the 1958 World Exposition in Brussels. With its rich chocolate coating, it serves as the ultimate celebration of what Belgian chocolates have to offer.

Albert

A dark chocolate treat filled with creamy hazelnut praliné. The element of surprise? A caramelised hazelnut from Piedmont in the centre.

Nougatine

Our Maîtres Chocolatiers handcraft our nougatine in our Neuhaus atelier near Brussels, using a traditional recipe that dates to Neuhaus' early days. In copper kettles, sugar and nuts are caramelised into crunchy, golden confections.

Vanilla from Madagascar

The smooth taste of Madagascar vanilla is the perfect complement to Neuhaus' rich, luscious chocolate. Our Maîtres Chocolatiers exclusively use ground vanilla pods that have been sustainably harvested in Madagascar.

Sel de Guérande

Guérande salt has been harvested in France since the time of the Celts, and it remains a prized ingredient to this day. It is not only known for its exceptional violet aroma, but also its health benefits: Guérande salt is hand-roasted, unrefined, additive-free, and rich in minerals.

Piedmont hazelnuts

Piedmont hazelnuts are known for their distinctively rich flavour and aroma. Through a slow, artisanal caramelisation process, Neuhaus’ Maîtres Chocolatiers bring out the best in these exquisite nuts, enhancing their natural crunchy texture and nutty sweetness.

100% sustainably sourced cacao

Our cacao beans have two origins: Ecuador and West Africa. The Ecuadorian beans are harvested from our own cacao farm and are certified by Rainforest Alliance IP. For African beans, we work with renowned suppliers who each have their own program - Cocoa Promise and Cocoa Horizons - to ensure continuous improvement in the sustainability of the cacao farms.
